Nearing October..
October draws near, you know what that means. Ok... if you don't, it's about time for the baseball post season, and you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Anyways, this has gotten me talking more baseball with my classmates who like the game and my friend Dave and I were talking about Jason Giambi. Keep in mind, Dave is New Yorker and a Yankees fan. I mentioned something about Giambi and how eventually he was just going to have to face the pitcher and turn back sideways as the pitch came in because he wasn't going to be able to turn his neck enough. Dave laughed and said how skinny Giambi was when he started playing professional baseball. I didn't really believe it, but I looked up Giambi's early years, pictured below (during college when he was on the US Baseball team for the "Pan Am" games). Here's a "then and now" photo comparison for you to consider. How much of this is just working out? Even Dave called him "Juicin' Giambi"....
