Christmas Nubmer 1

Dec 24, 2009 14:17

So Christmas at home was nice this year even thought I did ALL my gift wrapping last minute, but let's be serious, there's no change in that at all. hahah

So last night I saw Jess which was really nice.  She came over after the last bit of Christmas shopping I had to do.  She came over and I gave her her Christmas/birthday gift along with what I owed her.  We did it all slick like...I felt like it was a drug trade off. LOL  Anyway, we talked a bunch and sat in front of the fire before she ate with us and she convinced me to go hang out at Kenny's with everyone for a bit.  At Kenny's I saw Kamisha, Kenny, Silvestre, Brian, Allegra (came late) and I finally met Kenny's younger brother.  We played some card games (castle and spoons) and Kamisha made chocolate cupcakes. =D

When I got home I got myself settled in front of the fire downstairs to wrap my gifts.  I brought movies down to watch while I wrapped and I put in Last of the Mohicans first which was possibly a mistake because I didn't wrap any gifts while it was playing.  I curled up in front of the fire with my macbook on the desk chair and watched my movie.  Which in turn, made me crave my 18th century dresses and petticoats once again.  After that finished I put in Pirate of the Caribbean and started wrapping gifts.  Then I put in Pride & Prejudice (A&E version) and finished up wrapping and fell asleep curled up in front of the fire.
It's funny that when I know a movie as well as Pride & Prejudice I would find myself waking up and reciting the lines of the movie. LOL

We opened the first round of gifts around 10, after my mom made tea and my sister woke up.  I played the role of "Santa" and handed out the gifts this year (usually Martha does it).  My parents liked everything I got them, and so did my sister.  She thought the necklace that took me FOREVER to pick out is really pretty.

I got a bag of rice and a rice cooker from my parents as well as a promise from my mom to take me shopping to get me more big sweaters.  And my sister gave me Villette by Charlotte Bronte, Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati, and the Jonas Brothers 3D concert DVD (finally!).  I'm really more excited about the books though. <333

I actually started reading Into the Wilderness already and it's REALLY freaking good.  It reminds me of Last of the Mohicans SO MUCH.  Possibly because one of the characters is a Mahican Indian named Chingachgook with a white son named Hawkeye. *insert fangirl squeal here* =DDD

And shortly we'll be on our way to Sally's house for the rest of Christmas.  I'm getting ready now, and I should be packing but I'm reading and updating this instead while belting Pocahontas songs. =D
That soundtrack is BRILLIANT.  BRILLIANT I TELL YOU.
