i decided on a whim to apply for the marshall scholarship, which is an english scholarship that sponsors american students to go to grad school in england
so i developed a course of study to study film for a year and get a masters and then study human rights for a year and get a masters in that too, since so many masters in england are one year...i'd be able to walk away with two masters degrees
and live in london for two years

BUT its like a hyper-competitive and i'm a film major so god knows if i really stand a chance
ALTHOUGH you can't even apply unless you have an overall gpa of at least 3.8
so i felt pretty baller for being able to apply even
but basically when i asked drexel about applying FOUR DAYS AGO the woman was like 'UM... PEOPLE SPEND MONTHS ON THEIR APPLICATIONS. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN ACTUALLY APPLY.....BUT FEEL FREE TO TRY'
hahah and i actually did it! in four days.. i'm surprised. if it weren't for my dad i wouldnt have though..he totally encouraged me in such a positive way that was like, 'just do it...you know you can sit there and write some essays and bang it out and you might as well..you might get free money out of it, and if you don't whatever. you're applying to other schools so who cares?' hahah so true, he's the man <3
so i did it and got my four letters of recommendation
(make it five cause the woman called me today and said one of them was not as strong as the other ones since that woman doesn't know me that well and couldn't really write in good detail, and the others she said were all really really good, so i should try to get one more....thus i had to get a FIFTH one today haha shit man. getting 5 letters of recommendations in 4 days is kinda rough.)
but yeah, i'm pretty proud of that. the lady called and congratulated me cause it really is a lot of work just to apply :D
exciteddd that i did it.
but i really gotta make my reel and start figuring out shit for other schools cause those are all due in a couple months as well.. i think i might apply to like the top ten film schools and just see who does or doesnt want meee haha
BUT yeah gotta graduate with distinctionnnn, and make that a priority too. and stay on that and make sure i actually do it.
AND work on my script for senior project...badly. ah i'm so pensive about it cause it's still an idea floating around my mind, waiting to be fully fleshed out....i need to stop talking about it and just let it simmer...

bought a new cell phone FINALLY
my other one sucks so much
water damage on zhenya's shoot was pretty much the last straw haha its so wacky
i can't wait..its arriving tomorrow
but i gotta kinda cut down on spending til i get paid next, which is like two weeks ugh
i didn't buy a super expensive phone which is good, and i was tempted to do..but i really don't have the money and i really don't need a sick phone. cut down on the materialism, kathy, for real. (it does have a keyboard though ahh i'm an asshole hahah)
and i need to buy a futon..hopefully with the money i make from smoke and mirrors (the film i'm working on now) and then just saveeee cause senior project
i might need to take out a loan
but i can't begin to think about that now agh
i'm hanging out with bekah tomorrow into thursday..going to museums in the city and being nerdy art kids! pretty ampeddd<3
and then visiting aaron in nyc on sunday..hopefully my love jrs will be around so i can pop by his new place too
this weekend will be busyyy actually now that it's back to philly, i'm excited....
friday, work and then rematch with tim...haha totally gonna beat his ass..HE PUNCHED ME! like what the fuck..i can't get over it..who punches a girl... ugh haha
saturday, dinner with gidget and her mom<3 and thennnn anish's gentleman's box social hahah his fancy alcohol frenzied bday party, ugh i have to wear a dress.. but i'm excited...it'll be funnn i imagine! i have a feeling we're all gonna be dressed up standing around in his living room getting drunk and listening to hardcore hahah
and then sunday in nyc with aaron
and SCHOOL MONDAY

i got a lot coming on academically too
but yeah..i can't begin to think about that now still hahah
overall i've gotten a lot done over break
there's alwaysss stuff to be done
but i've spent a decent amount of time just relaxing, reading, watching movies
then working and working out
playing with lucky(bro's dog) ugh love him
right now i think i'm just going to chillax...drink an oktoberfest

OOH BUT YES one more thing
totally found my cat eye glasses that i was convinced i lost the last time i went bowling like two months ago.. i got so drunk that night and it was the last time i remember wearing them hahaha

they were here in my nj room? i have nooo clue how they got there....but i'm just glad i have them back!! <3
now i just need to find my black pencil skirt and i'm square..
