Who: Jolt and Sideswipe
What: Jolt comes to drop of some books, stays for a chat
When: November 23rd
Where: Sideswipe's house- 5718 Cunningham Lane
Warnings: None at the moment!
Jolt was, perhaps, not the most quiet of Autobots. He liked to think he wasn't anywhere near as obnoxious at the Twins- to be so would be a feat, to say the very least- but his general demeanor and impulsiveness meant he found himself running his vocals when he ought not to be more often than not.
It was that tendency that had landed him in his current situation. It was the cause of the general awkwardness in what Mayfield had insisted Jolt to refer to as his house. It was the reason he hadn't seen, let alone spoken to Sideswipe in days. And while he'd taken part in a conversation or two with some of the town's residents, he spent a good deal of his time not saying anything. The envelope Sideswipe had left as a parting gift had given him a lot to think about, after all, and he found that when the subject matter was as heavy as what his friend had foisted upon him, quiet was best.
But he had done his thinking, and he was done with the quiet. Besides, the pile of library books Sophie had brought for Sideswipe never made it into his hands before he hobbled down Jolt's front walk and home. Jolt had read through them, but they weren't doing Sideswipe much good sitting on the living room table at 1249 Williams Road.
Sideswipe's house was not too terribly far out of the way from the route Jolt normally took home for the garage- or at least that's what he would say if asked. Still dressed in his grease-stained mechanic's clothes, and bearing a canvas bag full of library books in one hand, Jolt padded up the front walk of 5718 Cunningham Lane and knocked on the door.
