Are you ready? The Spring Drama Post of DOOM (part1!)

Sunao ni Narenakute: Hard to say I love you (it must be harder in 140 characters)

Personally, I liked it, at least the first episode was well paced, the music catchy and every character has their own plot. But there are people who doesn't liked it and there are claims of lower rating than expected. But I still liked it. There's also criticism against other dramas by the same screenwiter, like Last Friends. Personally I hope it doesn't end that way, becasue Last's Friends could've been better, but Nishikido stole the spotlight with the DV thing as Eita and Ueno Juri's issues deserved a better treatment.
You can tell by the first sight how structurally they have many common points: going backwards in time, disencounters and the matching cups. xDD

<--Still don't get how Eita could carry his backpack, the bags and Ueno Juri. >>;;
What  is this about? A bunch of friends who meet each other via twitter, there will be some love trienagles, but basically lots of unrequited love. >>;; Which might be a pity, because really Eita and Ueno Juri had good chemistry together. And it's surprising to see Ueno Juri in a girly character after Last Friends (I haven0t watched Nodame Cantabile, sorry).

Also is interesting that despite being friends online, they're empty spaces, probably because of the briefness that a tweet conveys.
But it's because (you might know this as well) there are things we don't show to other people online.

Introducing the kicked puppy of the series: Jaejoong. His life is so gonna suck, you know. And  I can't believe I kinda like him probably because he doesn't sing and he's getting rid of the awful light hair color. But I still want to cut his bangs. They distract me even of how he's mistreated along the series.

But this drama needs bad guys: remember Topher Grace in Traffic? Beware of Sakamoto Shougo, probably he'll be the one killing Ueno Juri at the ends of the series or something, but he's somewhat obsessed about her. DDD:

And we don't have a DV boyfriend this time, but a batshit crazy clingy girlfriend. If shougo isn't going to kill Haru (uneo Juri) she'll do it. >>;;

Troubleman: Another level of fail Shige!

I do like the kid, still don't get the bedroom eyes thing, but the smile is nice. And the hair is fugly (I refused to believe it, but I've seen enough proof that i can't deny it anymore.^^;;).

So in this kind of "indie drama" he'll be the guy with good intentions that ends involved in, well, trouble.

First he lose his job for helping people in trouble, then he's involved with some yakuzas, a stabbed victim, a thug, a weirdo and another chick, an amnesiac man and an old lady, who happen to be his neigbours.
Basically this doesn't make much sense, like the first piece on a puzzle and as you go along, you make up the picture.
And before you ask me, yes, it's a slow drama and when the episode ends you're all O.o??
Weird yet interesting, with a fugly ending. >>;; But I still don't get  NEWS music.

Zettai Reido: Cold Case on a japanese setting

The first case was interesting, it introduces the characters quite well and plot-wise holds a few surprises. And Aya Ueto isn't annoying or squealy or pouty. It's basically good and anjoyable.

It has a few special effects, like how Aya Ueto's character gets into the victim's scenario, but it's nothing we haven't seen before on the american version. Hope they can offer interesting settings in the cases and don't mess it going to the past.

There are some known faces on the cast , but the ones that caught my attention were:

Cute tech guy.

And nice and enthusiastic guard.

I'm pretty aware that I wasted TWO screencaps on such lame character, thank you.

Question: Is there an agreement to have the Love Psychedelico girls (which I do like, btw) singing the OP on every on ther dramas?

Tsuki no Koibito: The king of the ratings attack!

There's already lots of buzz about it, so I wouldn't add anything wise or useful.
Kimura Takuya is GOOD. Most of the time can work any look, or we rather say that because it's him, you forgive him everything.
(I was about to use and absolute, but thinking of the perm and geek look from CHANGE, I dropped it ^^;;).

<--(there sould be a gif of this one, this hand motion is pure gold)
Character-wise: Ren (Kimura) is a man who makes his company work, but of course, it's the people who work for him who do the hard work, but doing so also makes him bossy, unsufferable and his scruples scale might differ from the norm.
If you saw ENGINE, you might get how obnoxious and self centered can be, and it's been a while we haven't seen him upscaling to a bastard. And still love him.

To get Kimura Takuya, you just have to see him. There aren't words to explain it.

But it doesn't mean that other people doesn't do their work.

Matsuda Shota fills the screen as well with his performance as well. Amazing.
i've seen Shinohara Ryoko in better roles, she has a strong presence but there's something I still don't like. Or probably I'm not used to a female character who pump fist with her coworkers and touchy with her team, something of not being afraid of personal space or fisical boundaries.

Lots of people already hate Xiu Mei. I can only see hard work. (And a bonus! Abe Tsuyoshi in drag!)

RE: Kitagawa Keiko: I don't know if it's the rumour mill thast spoilerde me, but I do sense her uncomfortable in her scenes.

But his drunk rendition (hiccuping included) and his panda costume bit were good. (probably because of my panda bias)

This was the first batch. Next: Tumbling! (didn't got my screencaps yet, sorry ^^;;), Shinzanmono, Dosokai and maybe Kaibutsu-kun.

this takuya pwns them all, je i want my brain back, jdramas, lame recs
