Stuff and Music

No fake caffeine for 3 days - go me!

I keep forgetting to bring lunch (housesitting has really stuffed up my routines!) so today I wandered down to the Plaza and found some food. On the way I stopped in at Fish Records and looked at some CDs n things. I haven't really bought any new music for at least 6 months, possibly more.I found a whole bunch of CDs I wanted to get, they really branch away from my current collection.

I still really like the music in my collection but of late I've really felt the need for more upbeat music. The desire to go dancing is much greater and perhaps that is reflected in my CD wishlist. At the same time I also looked at some chilled artists too. Perhaps it all ties in to the 'new KT' concept/feeling/phase I seem to be in.

I've noticed a number of the artists I heavily associate with Dez (like Muse) are still there as bands and music that I like, but I don't have any desire to own their music anymore. I hear it on the radio and tune out or change channel or pay little attention - occassionally I do sing along but often that stirs up memories of happier times which can be quite upsetting. Mind you there are some bands like the Cat Empire that I LOVE and would not give up unless he were to become a member of the band himself - and well, we all know that will NEVER happen.

So maybe I'll have to splash out a little and get a bunch of new music. I also thought about buying a little stereo for my room. I don't really listen to music much at home right now because I have to play it through my TV and DVD player, not so convenient, and my laptop is not really able to cope with all the thinking involved with playing music AND being a computer. Money is always the issue, especially when there's a large debt involved... but I'm slowly chipping away at it, and I guess I have to indulge occassionally - or sell the bloody dining set!
