Sorry I've been scarce for so long, my life has been mildly crazy this summer....my father decided to have a midlife crisis and quit his job, my brother's cancer has reappeared and he just had a small section of his lung removed (but thankfully is recovering well, and the doctors feel confident they got everything, and no chemo is needed, thank God!), all 3 of my grandparents have ended up in the hospital over the last few weeks, my husband's dog died...it's just been nuts. I think I perhaps I was cursed this summer. I can't even call it Maye's Exploding Summer, it just seemed so much more drastic than that. I was afraid to answer the phone, any time it was a family member something terrible had happened, usually requiring a hospital visit.
But at least one good thing has happened....
Guess what?
Meet Baby Smith, aged 10 weeks, due on March 20th!
I didn't even know they did ultrasounds this early, but apparently in some cases they do. The scan itself was very cool, they were able to zoom in and we could see the baby's jaw and arms, and even the heart. Then we got the picture, which you can see above, which is clearly LESS defined. The general consensus is this picture looks kind of hamster like, however my husband simply refers to it as "the Nugget" and it seems to be sticking.
Just wanted to share the good news....and I hope all has been well with you guys!
Hopefully I'll start catching some of you on Tuesday and Wednesdays over on the Spoilage Board! :-)
