That movie meme thing everyone is doing

1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times.
So many movies I can't even begin to count.  Um...we'll say White Christmas because it's a family holiday tradition, so it's watched at least once a year.

2. Name a movie that you've seen multiple times in the theater.
*embarrassed to join Heater*  Titanic.   I was a freshman in college, and every single one of the girls in my dorm wanted to see that movie.  So it was get left behind, or go see it again.  And again.  And then again with my family.  (oh christ, I'll admit it, I saw this thing 5 times.  In like 2 weeks.  And then I never, ever saw it again, not on video, not on TV, I  swear!  oh, the shame....)

3. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie.
John Cusack

4. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie.
Tom Cruise has been turning my stomach lately.
And I've never liked Denise Richards.

5. Name a movie that you can quote from.
Many, many movies.  But I can quote The Princess Bride from start to finish.

6. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs.
It would probably be easier to name a movie musical that I DON'T know all the lyrics to.   I don't know, I'll say Singing in the Rain.

7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with.
Sound of Music.  The Little Mermaid.   Moulin Rouge.  Chicago.  Rent.  Dreamgirls, as soon as it comes out in May.
Basically any movie in which characters spontaneously burst into song.

8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see.
The Boondock Saints

9. Name a movie that you own.
I think at last count we had over 1000.  We're sick, sick, movie addicted people.  Well, and I suppose that includes TV on DVD, too.
Most recent purchase was probably...um...Thank You for Smoking, I think.  And Disney's Robin Hood.

10. Name an actor that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops.
Queen Latifah, believe it or not.  She was great in Chicago.

11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? If so, what?
A double feature:  The Lion King, and I Love Trouble

12. Ever made out in a movie?
At home, yes.  In the theater, no.

13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven't gotten around to it.
Memoirs of a Geisha

14. Ever walked out of a movie?
I don't actually think so.  But I've wanted to once or twice.

15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater.
Showgirls.

nah, kidding.  I've gotten choked up, but I don't think I've ever actually cried in a theater.

16. Popcorn?
Always.

17. How often do you go to the movies
I used to go a lot, but the hubby works at a movie theater so when he gets home he doesn't usually want to go back there.  I'd say about 5 or 6 a year.

18. What's the last movie you saw in the theater?
Casino Royale, I think?   That doesn't seem right.  That was ages ago.
I'm going to see Hot Fuzz today, does that count?

19. What's your favorite/preferred genre of movie?

One with moving pictures.  I love movies, most genres.

I guess lately I've been leaning towards the comedy genre though.  There's enough drama and depression on the news if I want that.

20. What's the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?
I don't remember.  Likely something by Disney.

21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?
Leap of Faith.  Worst movie ever.
Steve Martin, you should be ashamed of yourself.

22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?
Bubba Ho-Tep

23. What is the scariest movie you've seen?
First horror movie I ever saw was Silver Bullet, a movie about a werewolf...which I watched when I was 8, the very day we moved into a brand new house....completely surrounded by the woods.

I didn't sleep for a week.

24. What is the funniest movie you've seen?
Tough one.  Blazing Saddles and Animal House come to mind.  The South Park movie is pretty damn good too.
