Oh, wonderful job! Very well written - all your scenes are so crisp and vivid. I especially like Irritated!Castiel in the ER. Nice touch!

It never even occured to me that Cas's powers were diminishing due to being cut off from heaven, though it probably should have!!!

Oh, yes this. Dean's worst fears, right there. I love that Castiel seems reliant on his angel fighting skills -- it's true that Dean wouldn't get stabbed in a knife fight most likely, he's much better than Castiel at hand-to-hand. Also, it's poignant to me that Dean calls Sam first, not 911, he's drunk and probably not thinking clearly, but that's telling. And grumpy!Cas in the ER is ♥

(You so read my mind, I've had a theory that Castiel's self-healing powers are going, and there really needed to be a h/c about that.)

This is totally a worst-case scenario for Dean. He figured that he would never have to worry about Cas getting hurt--'cause he has that nifty self-healing thing--and now that comfort isn't there anymore and that opens Dean up for a WHOLE lot of hurt. D: I almost posted this fic to hurt_dean, too, because I feel like it was just as hard on him as it was on Castiel, if not worse.

Dean always calls Sam first. ♥ Sam or Bobby, those are the two.

And yeah, we so totally thought the same thing. When he couldn't exorcise Meg in 5.10 I immediately thought, "Well, I wonder what he'll lose next..."
