Wowzers. Here I was thinking that I would spend today writing or comment-answering, but instead I have been sleeping like a...like a...like a very tired person. See? Even my simile-machine is broken ( Read more... )

It sounds like you had a wonderful time. I have to laugh because my mom thinks that everything/one/aspect of the internet is designed to sexually/physically exploit anyone who is on her. I think if I had been lucky enough to join you and the girls, I just would not have told my mom! Hee, hee. Is it wierd that a grown woman doesn't want her mommy to know what she is doing? Trust me, it would save her the possible stroke!

:D And this is NOT the first time I've met with someone from the internet, either. This was actually the fourth time. Shocker! She still worries every time. ♥

Moms...pretty wonderful, aren't they?

Reassured mother five times that I wasn't going to be killed by an axe murderer from the internet, that it was a woman, and there would be a bunch of us, and we were meeting in a public place, and no, I didn't know her real name but she didn't know mine either, so it was fair. Gave her the address of the restaurant so she would have something to tell the police. LMAO!!! My mom had the same reaction the first time I mentioned going to another state for a weekend to meet a bunch of fans, and I'm much older than you. It's a mother thing.

Glad you had such a great time. It's so much fun to meet people you "know" in person.

Hey! Glad to know that you made it home safe & sound...it was really fun yesterday, wasn't it? (my parents were waiting at my house when I got home, so we could watch the Kentucky Derby, and I had to explain our whole excursion in terms they could understand. Without making us sound even crazier than they think I am, LOL.)

Great to spend time with you, and hope our whump!filled conversation will spark some excellent fics.

Oh, man, that peanut butter sandwich idea is stuck in my head. :D I think one of the amazing writers at the table may have to do something with that.

It was great to meet you!

*cracks up* I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself. I love your mom so much. Though yes, people from the internet are usually less likely to murder you than most parents think. But meeting them in person makes for a lot of good jokes about having Dateline on speed-dial and that sort of thing.

My mom is wonderful. She reacted this way the first time I drove by myself, too, all wringing her hands and big eyes and "Yes, yes, I trust you, I do, but...Come here and give me a hug!" :D This isn't the first time I've met friends from the internet, though--it was the fourth! And yet she specifically asked me what she was supposed to tell the police. ♥
