a fast hand

so apparently this is something i need to work on.

i've been working with a new coach and he thinks this is one of my major problems. i'm got some ideas about how i can improve my hand speed (which includes changing from line to line, going with my point first, making surprise parries in time, etc.), but i was wondering if anyone had things i could add to this list:

target practice w/ integrated footwork patterns (eg. advance and hit 5 times, lunge and hit five times, advance lunge and hit five times, sm. advance two retreats adv. lunge 5 times...)

target practice the same as above, but with specific handwork patterns, concentrating on doing the action as as fast and technically correct as possible (beat attack with adv.; beat attack with lunge; beat attack as a preparation with a 1/2 lunge, retreat, fleche...)

target practice w/ a hanging ball (hitting the ball, then imagining different beats, pressures, and parries, and doing them before and after i hit the ball)

but what else?
