my bodyline review

Jul 24, 2011 14:52

so! earlier today I received my Bodyline order.

I placed the order on July 14th, the items were sent on the 15th and I got my tracking number on the 16th (I chose EMS shipping). the mailman called me on the 21st to tell me the package is here and I finally got it today (the 24th).

I was so excited! luckily I was at the middle of photographing, so I had the camera on my bed, waiting. otherwise I'm not so sure you would have gotten any pictures accept for the worn ones.

so, here's how I got it. straight from the mailman's hands (after I paid him the unbelievably high taxes).

yeah, it's the all-time-favorite black garbage bag! luckily I knew this was coming so I was not surprised. I was also lucky enough to get it completely intact.

inside were the regular bodyline bags, the wig, gloves and fake lashes.

here you can see blouse L364 in green, sax, pink and purple. that's the best look you'll get of those since they're not mine. they were bought for sonaku so I never opened them. I just received permission to open them... I only opened one though, since they're all the same.

I couldn't catch the right color, but it's a fresh, minty green.

detail shots. I love the lace, it's so pretty!

next up is L247 skirt, a.k.a the macaron skirt. I wasn't sure if I should buy it in brown or black. I chose black cause it's easier for me to coordinate.

print closeup. the fabric is nice and thick and the print looks great.

the skirt closes with a zipper on the side, and a hook to hold it still. the waist ties are detachable (with a small, heart shaped buttons) and the waistband is half-elastic.

the lace is nice and cute, and there's a little satin bow at the edge of the waist ties.

worn pics (wrinkled and straight out of the bag). I know a white blouse would look better, but I'm in the process of making it so I had to use a black one.

back photo.

second, my dream JSK, L144 in black. I also wanted to get the skirt version of this JSK in purple, but as I was getting ready to order it, the prices went up and I couldn't afford it. maybe next time.

this is super cute and I really love the print. I think it's the best merry go round print in lolita (yeah, better then sugary carnival!)

the lace is nice and the details are cute. again, nice and thick fabric which I hope won't be too hot for the Israeli sun.

the waist ties are not detachable in this dress, and there are no ponies on them (which I actually prefer. I don't like it when they chop off the ponie's head so it will fit the ties).

sorry for the bad pic.

worn. it fits perfectly and I'm really happy with it. sorry, I won't show you the back on this one as I was home alone and couldn't tie my own waist ties.

both the dress and the skirt came with a detachable bow, with a simple pin on the back. those will be turned into headbows soon enough.

I also ordered 2 pairs of socks:

sock 413 in black  to match my JSK, and sock 259 for a skirt I'm planning on sewing.

socks 413 worn, with the dress. these are cute but a little too tight for me, and I don't have thick calves.

that's not the case with 259 which are nice and soft, stretch nicely, and though they're supposed to go under the knee, they were easily stretched over the knee and still looked great. the "print" is both on the inside and the outside of the leg (unlike 413), which is nice.

last, the wig. I actually got it for a cosplay I'm planning. I got wig 016 in light pink.

it came in a plastic bag with a card stock protector.

the wig is nice and cute, not too shiny and hardly sheds. it also has straps in the back that allow the wearer to adjust the size.

so overall I'm super happy with what I got. I heard before that bodyline's quality is questionable, but I'm really happy with it.
thanks for stopping by!
