Crappity crappity CRAP

I talked to my sister a few days ago. She has apparently gotten past the "denial" and "anger" stages of grief and gone into "acceptance." She's accepted that her husband is going to die...not only that, but she is HOPING for him to die, and not just so he won't be in any more pain, but so she won't be in any more pain.

She said, "I know that sounds awful." I said, "It doesn't sound awful at all." My brother-in-law is currently in the care of a hospice, and while my sister was sad to see him go, she was also relieved, because he had become, as she put it, "very mean." People who are dying often do become mean, and worse than mean, especially when they're in pain, and he is. Also, the brain tumor is affecting his impulse control, so he yells at my nephew (who is 8) for things the kid didn't even do.

Yes, God, you really DO suck sometimes. My sister doesn't deserve this. No one does.
