There's no doubt in my mind that you're right, that he would have chosen to be at home with you.

I am soo sorry Peter.

You can also think of it this way. If you would have taking him to the vet, he might not have made the trip from being scared and having to travel. Least this way he was with you in your lap instead of the crate.

That made me cry reading it. I think you did everything you could and he died a way he wanted to.

as terrible as those last 10 minutes were, it was probably less traumatic. I'm sooooo sorry. *hugs*

My experience with mrtubbs was sadly similar. I agree with the others that dying at home, even with some suffering, was better than another trip to the vet.
