Phone update Part I

Sep 25, 2006 17:51

All right, I exchanged the RAZR for a different Motorola phone, and am much happier with the new one. The tinniness is pretty much gone (I think the bit that remains is just a product of Verizon's network), this new one is stylish but also a lot sturdier and not so blatantly "hip", and the new one was $30 cheaper.

Luckily, the data cable I bought for the RAZR also fits the new phone, so no money was lost there. Unfortunately, the fucking cunts at Verizon really do appear to have disabled the ringtone transfer feature. I have a few things I can try, and hopefully one of them will work.

In other news, there is an end in sight for overtime. I've been working 45 hours a week since early July. Nine hours a day, five days a week isn't that bad, but after about a third of a year it gets really old. Now that we have two new people to do some of the lower-level work, I have more time to do the more important stuff, which is also less soul-killing. Probably only two, maybe three, more weeks of overtime! It's going to rock my socks all the way off.
