I hope this wasn't one of those "frying pan into the fire" type things

So I finally switched to Verizon, because the reception with Cingular was crappy and my two year contract was FINALLY over. The phone number is the same, though. I need to re-enter all my contacts, so if your info has changed or you aren't sure if I have it (and, you know, if you WANT me to have it), just comment to this with your phone number.

The new RAZR is pretty nice, but I may be pissed off with it and Verizon quite soon. So I have this software called Motorola Phone Tools, which allows me to send stuff (ringtones I make from mp3s, pictures, whatever) back and forth from my phone to my computer via a USB cable. And this worked all fine and dandy with the old Motorola phone and Cingular. BUT apparently Verizon has disabled this feature, because they want you to buy their ringtones and pictures and crap. I've been doing a bit of research online, and I've bookmarked a few pages that offer various hacks to correct the issue, but results seem to vary. But then I also read something dated from April of this year that said Verizon now offers a software update that will re-enable the transfer feature. So....I don't know.

And I will continue to not know for a few days, since I had to order a new data cable to fit the new phone.

It's funny - I'm not into cell phones by any means, but the idea that someone is screwing me out of a pretty basic feature (MY OWN GODDAMNED FREE RINGTONES!!!) doesn't fill me with love.

The reception does seem a lot better though.

But anyway...phone numbers. Provide them. I think I've made it so the info won't show up to the public....
