THE OCTOBER 2005 CONCERT STORY AND PICTURE ROUNDUP
Early in the month, I went and saw Japanese post-rockers Mono. They played as you'd expect. The openers, LKN and Bellini sucked out loud. I didnt take any pictures, so lets move on.

On the 14th, I went and saw The Occasion and Acid Mothers Temple and the Cosmic Inferno. The Occasion has been one of my favorite bands since I saw them open (and show up) Interpol, back when they were good. I got pictures of this, so here we are:

After them, Acid Mothers Temple played 3 songs, totaling at least an hour and a half of music. They also took breaks to talk incoherently to the audience, about how Donald Duck would taste better than Mickey Mouse, and that "since Floooridaah is theee... best state in United States, we will play next song... ah Gloooria Ehstehfaaan styyyle."

On October 23, I went and saw The National at the Social for the closing night of Anti-pop Music Festival. You might recall them from every day of my life last year. Sadly they played a short set. But that worked out for me, because I didn't have to see Portastatic.

And here are some other pictures I took of the lovely Veronica, and some Koala Yummies to boot.
