The hiking group I'm in is planning a labor day weekend trip to Big Bend national park in Texas. I think this will be an excellent opportunity to see more of Texas. I don't have much camping gear, so today I drove down to San Antonio. My parents drove up from Corpus Christi to meet me there. My dad's active in organizations like the boy scouts, so he let me borrow his camping gear. We then explored San Antonio's artist village (La Villita). I bought some magnets to go on my fridge. Then we had dinner at Guadalajara. They were tasty.
For camping, I just need (to buy):
MREs/Freeze-Dried Food for Friday night, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
first aid kit
book
earplugs (the friday night camp site might be noisy)
Things I should maybe buy:
Binoculars
weather radio
hiking,
big bend,
camping,
adventures
