Hey all.
Well, it took me another $74 or something on top of credit, but returning the one video card and getting another for Alpha_3 seems to have worked out, at least for the foreseeable future. This is really turning into quite the extended project. Granted I think the change from the very first system known as Alpha (the long-time old family computer once known as Malfunctor the Incomputron) was succeeded by Alpha Neo back in 2006 took a few days because (being a moron) I caused a short and fried the motherboard, but tomorrow will mark a week since I brought home all the components (supposedly) that I needed to get started.
However, some of the work that still needed done actively contributed to this being a good morning. I do fall prey far too often to the hurried rush of trying to get out the door in time to get to work, but now and then on days like today I get up feeling pretty well fine, and I can roll easily at a measured pace and get done what needs it in an organized manner. I got some more work done - which is something I've enjoyed doing with PCs for at ~least~ 8 years now - and got going on time, listening to some really good tunes on the way to work. Things are looking up from 24 hours ago.
22 days until ColossalCon comes knocking. Better start penciling my plans. The middle of June is going to be busy, but also a lot of fun.
Catch you on the download.
-Max out.
