Why must Rick Bayless ruin everything I love? Mexican cuisine. Chicago. PBS. Top Chef. Zooey Deschanel. Which reminds me, I need to buy Gigantic on DVD so that I can see Zooey Deschanel's boobs on my big TV whenever I want. Seriously though, Rick Bayless is an ubercunt. Or an über-douchecuntbag. And he needs to shave.

You mean the one that looks like the Nu-Trek uniform shirt but with short sleeves? I want that shirt.

Boing boing. You are correct sir. And also, since being on Annual Training for the National Guard, I have produced over 140 double spaced 12 point font pages of book. I need to find a webpage that will convert that total volume I have (342 double spaced 12 pt pages) down to both a standard hard cover page count and a paperback page count.

Do you have any ideas?

I did some work today. 310 pages of standard pocket book size. I think I am ON THE WAY.

Yeah, I didn't even know there were websites for that. I don't want to concern myself with the total length right now. I figure if it's too short I'll call it a novella. McSweeney's might like that. Hipsters love novellas. You know, indie press chapbook type things.

Man, I moved a month ago and I've hardly written anything since. Once I tried to write but just ended up drinking a lot of wine and watching Tron on DVD.

Maybe there is a website for it, but I just looked on Wikipedia for standard page size of a "A" size pocket book and took out a ruler and measured font and margins and such. 310 pages doesn't seem to mean 310 GOOD pages, but it is something to boost my confidence nonetheless. After spending two weeks writing at least three hours a day, I am kind of in withdrawl, kind of wondering what is going on right now in the Amish kids lives.

I had a similar tried to write and ended up drinking half a bottle of The Singleton whisky and watching Battlestar Galactica.
