I receive two W-2s from my work for taxes this year because we got rid of our management company (who we were technically employees of) and work directly for the business itself now; this split happened last year, hence the two W2s. When I talked to my boss a couple of weeks ago, she told me that the ones from the management company would be coming (we received the ones from our current employer already). The girl who used to do that sort of stuff there quit just before they were to be sent out and so they got forgotten about/no one else knew they never got sent out. This is very typical for that company; its a wonder how they stay in business.
I still haven't received it. We went into my work today because I had to fill out paperwork to get William added to my medical insurance (at $340/month AHFLASFKASJA) and I asked my boss about the W2s. Everyone else received their's over a week ago, except for one person, because he moved and they didn't have his current address. She has no idea why I didn't get one. She assumed they were going to send them all to her at the office and then she could distribute them (and make sure for herself they were all there!), but they mailed them out individually. So mine either never got sent out (how odd that I'd be the only one overlooked) or it was lost in the mail.
'Course we can't file our taxes until we receive it either. Ergh. I have half a mind to report them to...whoever you report it to since they're required by law to have them postmarked by Jan. 31 (or is it Feb. 1?) and they didn't. My boss said she'd call them today and tell them I didn't get mine. Hopefully they send it right away.
So annoying.
