Notice how my holiday spirit is still slightly season-confused; I love it. Actually, I'm having this weird wonderful moment of (selectively) loving Christmas-themed love songs. That has honestly never happened before! I wonder if that's because I'm turning all spinsterly after a full year of being completely boy-free.

I woke up to a beautiful blue sky with a bright moonslice hanging right in front of me, and a traffic jam on my street at 7:30 in the morning. Combined with the freezing weather, and the inevitable, special dark of a winter morning that is so secretly luminous at times, today definitely begged for Northern music.
