a short story

distractions are my best friends right now.

on tuesday i had a baking adventure with little linda. i experimented with caramel chai tea cupcakes and linda make 2 batches of vegan fudge brownies. our efforts resulted in a flurry of photo taking and peering into the oven every 2 seconds with running commentaries. i then accidentally locked her in my house as she was attempting to leave.

i feel loved due to linda feeding me brownies whilst i washed up, paul feeding me muffins and slurpees and amy also feeding me pasta and muffins. clearly we found ourselves a winner.

this turned into...

unfrosted chai tea cupcakes.

linda's fudge bubbling over turned into...

fudgey brownie goodness.

we couldn't leave our babies alone.

you're jealous.

last night i had the best wednesday night in ages. i went to xander's house not knowing what the hell texas hold 'em up poker was... and team tamy (yeah you heard me right) came out $80 richer. 7 people $10 out of pocket. next time we go they are forcing us to split up our team, which by the way is a force to be reckoned with.

we were suspected of being hustlers. clearly it was beginners luck. we were so confident we'd be home in an hour or two that 1) i left my room light on and 2) amy didn't even take her wallet.

the end.
