Three episodes left. Tonight's is the last half-hour episode of the series. While I really want to see the rest of the series so I don't have to worry about spoilers anymore I have to say each week that gets closer to the end makes me feel worse about the fact that the seroes is ending. It WON'T be returning. The letter-writing campaign failed before it began. Even if by some miracle we got a series of DTVs or a Brave and the Bold/ World's Finest series down the line JLU is done. I won't be able to hum along to that awesome theme song every week. I won't be able to love and loathe the spoiler clips as much as I do now.
I felt this way when Angel ended prematurely and Farscape too (strangely enough Enterprise getting cancelled was a "good riddance" moment after "These are the Voyages...") but when both of those shows ended I still had other shows to watch. When Farscape ended I had Buffy and Angel AND Justice League and when Angel ended I still had JLU to look forward to. What's going to tide me over? Lost? Sorry, I am still not convinced the show will not lead me to an X-Files or worse Twin Peaks situation.
I'm watching the Battlestar Galactica Miniseries this weekend. If Stewie's right I may have a new fandom. But at the very second I feel very much as if my geekdom TV days are coming to a close.
