Well, you're being not too petty about it, so that's good. I'm sorry, it's petty, but I can still remember you're reactions to The Batman from years ago even BEFORE it premeired, crazy stuff like "the batman was replacing btas" even though btas was cancelled years ago and they were putting it out on DVD.

I also think you over estimate corporate synergy. CN and KWB are still separate entities.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this Justice League stuff, should be quite fun and not neccissarily derivative of JL/U. And I'm sorry, that Bats/Supes antaganism stuff goes back to the post crisis comics of the 80s. It was hardly something TNBSA invented.

That Superman and Batman image is awesome by the way. Just wish I could enlarge it.

Superman looks a lot like a mature version of the Legion of Superheroes Superman. That surprised me.

I was going to say that. I'm not positive, but I believe it was Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns that showed the adversarial relationship Superman and Batman had, which sort of bled over to the mainstream comics while Batman himself was becoming a bit darker.

Fascinating. I didn't know that. Thanks!

See, I don't know this stuff about the comics. But from the article it sounded as if the producers were just ACTING like they invented it. But to be absolutely fair the producers of STAS acted as if they invented it when World's Finest premiered.

Did I actually say TB was replacing BTAS? Weird. I don't remember that. I thought my concern was that it was replacing the DCAU Batman but you're right that worrying about it replacing a cartoon that has been long cancelled is kind of silly.
