As I returned to my homestead, half-eaten pizza in hand, I noticed that the moon was an ever so slight crescent in the sky. Yet it shone bright and pleaded with me to pay attention to it. So I obeyed, as if I had had a choice to turn away, and marveled at the beauty that was the moon. Not only the crescent beacon, but also the outline of the entire moon that was visible due to my angle. It was a mystifying experience (if that is how you spell mystifying) and gave me a moment to reflect on how little I appreciate the beautiful things in life. How often has the moon looked so good as I, completely unaware, have walked on in my own reverie, contemplating things of little worth? I would bet "quite often."
It was only an instant in my life, but it was powerful enough to make me quest for appreciation of the beauty that I witness on a regular basis...hopefully this quest will be life-long, but well...here's what I've got so far.
1. Hailey (this one is obvious for me and the best part is that I get to see her a lot!)
2. Sunrise and Twilight at the golf course
3. Sunset on the beach in Vancouver...mountains...ocean
4. The moon tonight
That's all for now...gotta watch a show and then go out. But I shall continue!
