Nov 12, 2005 19:13

This is more of a rant, really, but I've wanted to write on this topic for quite some time and haven't gotten around to doing so (sorry to all my fans out there ;)!). So, since I last wrote, I've had more dating experience and more experience talking to (and befriending) girls, but I still have not yet had a girlfriend. If indeed I do have Asperger's Syndrome (as my former therapist, stepmom and mom suspect), this condition would definitely be an impediment to that. But what is even more of an impediment are society's longstanding rules regarding courtship, love and sex. However impractical, I wouldn't mind an openly sexual society like that in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. That way, if it were to ever happen that myself and a girl were mutually attracted to each other, we could freely act upon that attraction. On at least a couple of occasions, I've gotten the feeling that a girl would have been interested in dating me if she didn't have a boyfriend. And in fact, most of the girls I've met have had boyfriends or fell in love with another guy shortly after I met them. On the plus side, I've experienced a few guilt-free sexual encounters in my lifetime (four if you count arm-licking sexual), and one of them was not with a paid adult entertainer. However, none of them led to actual sex (oral, anal, or vaginal). And I've seen plenty of naked women (many of them not strippers), despite not having had a girlfriend. But I still wish more girls believed in (and were involved in) open relationships, since it would make communication so much easier on both of us. Until then, I'll have to accept the cards fate deals me and hope for a better hand.

Sincerely,

M. Wade
