scale the tallest peaks
just to find
what true love is
but then i close my eyes
and to my surprise
i knew the answer all along
love isn't a feeling you get, it's a feeling you earn. it's not something that is easy to obtain and it's not easy to throw away. love can literally conquer all. it's proven. people don't fall out of love; they just weren't in love in the first place. the reasons most people blame love, or the lack thereof, is because it's a cop out excuse. "i just don't love you anymore" is a statement that may need to be changed to "i never really loved you" because that is the truth. Love is having the respect for one another. it's about having the strength to pull your better half up from their darkest valleys and it keeps you together through the peaks. I'm tired of love being used as an emotion, it's an action. it's something you have to strive for. Love stands on a level all it's own. it's mixed with a million different emotions and the ability to love is to overcome them all.
