you see, when our modern computer technology was developed, the bios (basic input/output system) only kept time in two digits. 1986 was simply “86.” when 2000 comes, the bios will read “00,” thus confusing the computer programs into thinking that it is 1900 and they do not yet exist! it is going to be a complete catastrophe. i'm certain the other parts of the world that have already passed into this new year have already experienced the fury of y2k.
