(no subject)
first off, i apologize if this entry is poorly worded and/or boring...
i don't want to dictate my life on this thing, because it's probably pretty boring, but yesterday, the brakes on the 1984 buick century olympic edition totally went out. i put the pedal to the floor and nothing at all happened. so after running a stop sign, i decided to put it in neutral and try to use the emergency brake (since it was quite and emergency). nothing happened. all the while i was praying aloud "Lord please don't let me hit anyone." run another stop sign. i had to pick up my sister, so i wanted to get home, so i put it in drive, gassed it a bit, and then cruised to my house, threw it in neutral, and put it up the driveway to lose momentum, which it did. a kind lawnmower man from next door helped me push it up the driveway a bit more so it was out of the street. so i have been driving the gmc safari minivan (with the "my son is in the us navy," "biola university," "lhs merit scholars," "viva bush," and "crazy baseball mom" stickers). it has been quite a treat.
luke 12:15 - "then He said to them, "beware and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions."
my brother nick is coming to visit today. he lives in bellefonte, which is pretty much right in the middle of pennsylvania. i haven't seen him in about a year and a half. it is the longest i haven't seen him and i just realized it. he left with his girlfriend and her daughter to live closer to his girlfriend's parents and pretty much get out of california and get a new start. since then, they have had a daughter together and got married (both nick and his wife, jamie, requested that i play their wedding songs on guitar, so i recorded them and put them on a cd, and they appreciated it even though i'm terrible at guitar). they are all flying out to visit for a couple of weeks, so yeah. i am very excited to see them. pictures will follow. if anyone needs any prayer or anything, please let me know.
