n Reasons Why Saturday Night Live Sucks Now

This is just a list I'm typing up of reasons why SNL sucks now. I'll add things as they come to me.

1. All the semi-talented comedians have either a) left the show to do bigger and better thing or b) died ( Read more... )

I usually listen to the TWiT Network of shows (and a few other Netcasts while I'm driving somewhere or doing rental work. Do you actually watch Diggnation? I think I like audio alone so I can multitask.

G4 is very sad now-a-days. It just keeps on getting worse. TechTV was the best television station I ever watched because of all the useful information I learned about Technology and Computers. Now all I can learn about is what other people think of games, how many times Spock says something, learn what the coolest latest videos are on the Internet that I saw on Digg a week before, and that all stupid people cheat on each other and feel the need to show it on television. (Name those shows) I could care less about all those female hosts and old TV shows I never watched.

Grar!

And now to SNL.

I wonder how the meeting goes to write the skits.
"I thought of a mildly amusing joke!" said young no-name number 1.
"Alright, now think of a way to stretch it out to an 8 minute sketch by repeating the joke over and over, make fun of the president, or just don't include the joke which would make it funny." said young no-name number 2.

I understand that they can't just bring back celebrities to act in the show, but if they actually work a little more and stop reading cue-cards, they could form a new band of actors who could eventually be as well known and liked as the previous generations of actors.

By the way, I hate Jimmy Falon, I think he was part of the decline of the show.

Jimmy Falon, har har!

He couldn't hold in his laughter enough to say his lines. Even on the famous "Need more cowbell" skit, he's cracking up during the whole thing and can hardly get his lines out.

Yes, I do actually watch it mostly because when I do end up watching it I have nothing better to do.

I'm about 5 episodes behind on TWiT because I have to actively listen to it, otherwise it was a waste of my time.

Jimmy Fallon is right up there with Will Ferrel with me. I hate.

On a side note, if you liked SNL and you like funny political sketches and what not, watch "Studio 60 On the Sunset Strip." It's fantastic.)

Every time I hear of somebody who likes Jimmy Fallon, I want to hit them with a Logic stick.
