No work tomorrow!

A day off from work is definitely something to look forward to. I love sleeping in on Mondays. :)

So I applied for a new position at work. Benefit Coordination Supervisor is the name. I interviewed for it on Friday and was all nervous. I wore a nice shirt and tie and printed my resume on nice, expensive paper. So I go there and the interview lasts about 30 mins. It's was with my current boss and another manager. So they went through their whole arsenal of questions and to be honest I wasn't really sure how to answer some of them. I really don't have any experience in a manager-type role or having people under me kind of thing. At the end of the interview they told me that the process was more of a formality and that I was really the only person who applied that was qualified for the position. So they offered it to me then and of course I accepted. The job will be tougher (ugh, less social life?), but the pay is a significant increase. I get an additional week of vacation each year and I am on a bi-weekly salary system. So now instead of making $800=ish every 2 weeks, I'm going to be making $1563.20. Thats HUGE! Some might say that I have sold my soul a bit, thats ok.. you can say that. Social life is overrated anyway. :)

So this job starts on Tuesday and they have already posted my old job. So thats my exciting news of the week.

I still have not made an appointment to have a new CD player put into my car. I'm debating getting satellite radio as well. From what I've heard you can hear a lot of good techno/trance and I'd be able to listed on my computer as well.

I went to see the movie Children of Men last week. It's the kind of movie that makes say, "oh what the fuck" every few mins. I thought it was pretty good at first. Definitely a good idea, but was very similar to the idea of the book, "The Handmaids Tale." Later on in the day, I had also remembered that it very closer mirrored the movie "28 Days later" which was also really good for the first 45 minutes and then it just crashed into a horrible movie. I kind of wish that I went to see Hannibal Rising instead, which I might do on my day off tomorrow. :)

As for a party, I think I am planning on going to Dance till Dawn in Prov. in March. That was always a really fun party and Entropy seems to be booked to play Harcore. (yikes, I hope he doesn't beat up or stabbed or something) Regardless of what people think of him (Soren thought of him as Satan incarnate), I'd like to hear that music played out in a big room...

I'd also like to hit up Ultra or something big, but with the new position my time off will be limited for a little while until I get into swing of things.
