Deadlier than a dynamite-covered ninja shark

What is really dangerous right now is the special that the CD & DVD Store have on boxed sets of DVDs. There's a lot of dross there that you could be tempted to pick up, but they have Twin Peaks for $50! Also, they have the complete Lord of the Rings boxed set (all twelve discs!) for the low, low price of $90. I don't see how you could call yourself a patriot if you don't own those movies, and for that price, it's almost as cheap to buy the special edition set as it is to buy all three vanilla versions individually, even accounting for the fact that the first two have long since been relegated to the bargain bins.

Speaking of boxed sets, The Chosen Collection, a 40-disc set of all seven seasons of Buffy, is a lot cheaper than I thought it was when I saw it in the Roadshow catalogue at Whitcoulls yesterday. It's still NZ$250, but think about it: that's only six dollars a disc.

Gibber with me!

PS: It's Serenity Day! Finally I can read my flist without fear of terrible, terrible spoilers!

ETA: Look how easy it is to be a patriot in my country. In other, less relaxed nations, you have to be a mortal enemy of all them fags and desert-coons.
