I've never been to Canada, but I'd like to go there someday. I love to travel, but it has not been something I've done much of throughout my life. I've made two trips most of the way across the country by car, and two overnight trips to Nashville (once to see AFI, and once to play with .HEREtoday.). thickheadedness + fatigue + me being a jerk.

good times at that indy hall of fame, though. i actually have some of your souveniers from that trip still. you should get them from me.

in response to a question you posed to me a long time ago that i never responded to because i couldn't pick, here are 5 top moments from that cross country trip, in no particular order except as they come to my head:

1) the view from the grand canyon, halfway down (yes, i'll admit years later that i'm glad we went down in, though i'm also glad you lost your glasses half way and we had to turn around. sorry, rob, jen and ryan.)

2) climbing on cars at the cadillac graveyard in amarillo, texas, where thousands of other road trippers had left their mark, and we found that weird anti-vegetarian propaganda. (as a sub-set of this one, i also enjoyed eating at "the place with the big steak")

3) that little record store somewhere in wyoming, where i got Strike Anywhere's cd for really really cheap.

4) i will never forget wandering aimlessly in fields searching for the spot where matthew sheppard was left to die, as ryan's flowers withered in his fist.

5) the night we all camped and ryan and you and rob all put up that tent cover, and then ryan did that strip dance in the tent, and we read from our lists of things to do before we die.
