I've never been to Canada, but I'd like to go there someday. I love to travel, but it has not been something I've done much of throughout my life. I've made two trips most of the way across the country by car, and two overnight trips to Nashville (once to see AFI, and once to play with .HEREtoday.). I've visited Atlanta twice, Orlando once, Maine once, Boston twice, Denver twice, and Santa Fe twice. I love America: especially the small towns tucked in the hills of the Appalachian mountains or spread out on the plains of the Midwest. Durango, Colorado is a neat little town with a Wendy's that has filled my belly on two occasions, and Tuba City, AZ has a nice hotel to stay in if you are on your way from Colorado to the Grand Canyon. I got into one of the biggest arguments of my life (mostly because of my thick headedness combined with fatigue) outside of a hotel outside of Indiannapolis, IN, where I went the next day to see the Indy Hall of Fame, which is awesome.
I don't much care for travel by airplane. You can't get a good feel of your surroundings that way, whereas, in a car, you can stop any time you see something interesting. I could drive forever, I think. Just from here to there, and back. I would love to have enough time/money to take the Jeep to the southern tip of South America...from Virginia. I want to go to the Bay of Fundy, in Canada, as well, for the Geological Processes, but I want to drive. If they built a bridge across the Bering Strait, I'd drive it.
I would love to fly to Europe, then rent a car and drive. Land in Dublin and drive to New Delhi or Moscow, stopping at Prague and the Vatican...for the art. I could see myself crusing down the streets of Johannesburg, cooked from an African Sun that burns so much brighter than our American one.
