Not high enough
I'm kinda bummed, the Promotion List for E-5 to E-6 came out and I am in the top 15, but not in the top 5 and they are only taking the top two guys on the list. Granted they both deserve the rank and will make excellent Staff Sergeants, I was just hoping to make it before I turned 22 and I have this indescribable need to be the best at everything I do, blame it on the mile and a half wide competitive streak I have. So, I am switching over to night shift and we are pulling 2 and 1's so the next night that I am off is Thursday night, but I have to stay up all night tonight so that I can work tomorrow night. This is gonna suck. Alright, I'm outta here.
