GALLERY VISIT
YAY i love visting galleries and museums, i think its great... and seeing these things makes me feel more apart of australia, like im being a part of whats going on around me.
anyways.... enough of my over enthusiam
iLURVE Immants tillers work
i'll b using this work for my essay..... i see alot of my own work in tillers.
not that im capable of making a giant sublime landscape from smaller canvas blocks........
the clours, the richness and warms of the brown, brown is like the earth..... and to me, theres something special about sticking your toes in the dirt and wiggling them untill your feet are brown and u have dirt in between your toes, or sticking your hands into the dirt..... i used to make mud pies when i was a kid... the shouldnt call them mud pies.... sounds ediable
anyways, another thing i think that draws me to tillers is the swirling things he has places over the art, these are extreamly simmilar to the doodles i would randomly draw in my books.... which leads me to think what simmilar mind patters stimulate the hand to draw such things, as we see in graphology the study of handwriting to interperate personality.... this visit just got me to thinking about how people use language AND art, the moving of colour to express themselves.....
and what we have in common, if we have produced simmilar handwriting or swirls....
