Few good things can come from the radio

So I was driving tonight, like most nights and I decided to give the cds a rest and find something on the radio for once. It was alright, heard some old snoop and dre stuff, then listened to some Kid Rock and Disturbed before switching over to oldies to hear Why can't we be friends, by War. So all and all, everything was a pleasant surprise, and then I heard the 89X guy tell me, commin' up is Nine Inch Nails, which seemed to be the icing on the cake. Well, they went to commercial and I switched around while waiting, but I came back to it with a song already started. And, well it kinda scared me at first, it sounded like it could be new nails. But as I listened more I started thinking, well this could be new Nails, but it sounds really toned down and 80's new-wavish mixed with some happy-feel good U2. Then I kept listening, because I couldn't figure out who it was, and it dawned on me... wait a tick, I know this repetitive formulistic music, it just has a few bells and whistles to dress it up differently, and before I could even say it, the singer answered all my questions for me. And I can't believe I'm actually gonna say this, but I think in all honesty I can... if for anything its the best, and least painful option... ok, here goes, Blink 182, please get back together. I can't take these spin-off bands. Honestly, don't try to be creative, don't stem out into different styles, because its terrible and it sounds like some dudes on a computer put it all together and you're just the mouth-piece. Dick-and-fart jokes are much MUCH better than whatever monstrosity that was.
