A few years back, I wondered on this Journal if there was something the church can learn from VH1 and MTV. I believe there is. I just haven't figured out the what or the how yet.

As mentioned earlier, my mother-in-law's neighbors, Thomas, Candita, and their kids,  are from Austria.  We played miniature golf with them in celebration of said Inlaw's birthday this past weekend.  I was talking with Candita and finally gathered up enough nerve to try speaking her language.  I answered one of her questions in German.

Rose's next door neighbors are from Austria. I've been teaching her a few German phrases so she can communicate with them better. They speak English rather well, but she wants to make an effort to learn some of their language. I've been trying to teach the kids some German, too ( Read more... )
