damn ricecooker~ T_T
So tonight I was just going to cook up some rice, and then defrost a box of curry beef for dinner just for my brother and I... 'cause our parents aren't gonna be home for the next little while. So anyway, he got home, and I started getting the rice ready. I washed the rice, put the thing in the cooker, and plugged it in, pushed the little button and I just walked out to watch TV 'cause I thought it'd be cooking like usual~ 15 minutes later I walk back in and I realized the thing is off: no power at all T_T I figured it's probably the plug and started wriggling the plug in and out of the socket like I do for everything else that had this happen to it, and before I knew what happened, I felt this intense heat and pain on my finger tip and as I jerked my hand back in reaction, I saw sparks coming out of the cord itself and then maybe about half a second later that part just bursted into a bright pink flame lol XD My brother walked in when it was still burning and I guess we just laughed while it burned for those 10-15 seconds ~_~ but after that I just started to feel sooooo pissed off at the damn thing like WTF T_T We just realized how close I came to burning off some skin had I held onto it just a bit longer... now I just got shocked/burnt slightly with a blister, so I'll consider myself lucky~ though now the wall is charred and the whole kitchen counter has all these little charred plastic bits everywhere
Anyway, this post will be a reminder of not to freakin' mess with a plug when something's not right. And I even remember hearing a crackling sound too when I was fidgeting with it.... but at the time I guess I didn't know what that was T_T didn't see no sparks, so I thought my brother was opening up a pack of crackers or something in the room next door : ( But yea! seeing as how this is my third time getting shocked... hopefully this will be a better reminder to smarten up and not repeat it a fourth time.
In the end the both of us just drove to popeye's to get chicken.. it's my first time there, but the food isn't particularly that great to be honest lol... no real difference from KFC as far as I can tell~ and I kinda regret even going out for food now 'cause right now I'm feeling kinda nauseous from eating all that greasy crap combined with my slight cold/headache... just makes for a really stupid day ~_~ At least I had a nice chat in the car with my brother about random stuff like some dirtbags from work cases of his who would intentionally throw themselves out into the street in front of a sorta fast moving car at night just so they can sue the drivers for reckless driving lol... interesting
So yea, no more rice for the next little while... damn asian rice cooker piece of short-circuiting junk >: (
