Not liking Gunny very much in this instalment. I can't believe he hit Tony. Heartbreaking: "He huffed and swallowed raggedly, raising his face to his Gunny, trembling lips instinctively opening to ask for forgiveness." Poor Tony: "Tony just felt numb and alone. So very alone." Hated Jethro for choosing to go back to Carolyn's apartment when Tony really needed him. Redeemed himself a little by not staying the night. Hated him again again for marrying that bitch.
"He would make sure the boy understood how upsetting and invasive this was and find something to convince the youth that there was never going to be anything more to their relationship than what they now shared. Ever."
This is why he marries her? Is he trying to convince Tony or himself?
Others have suggested I've painted an unfair picture of Gibbs in this section and, in some ways, I agree. But I want readers to remember that DiNozzo, at this younger age, is not an angel and is capable of some fairly immature and frustrating actions. I mean, look at how his character is portrayed as an adult on the show...chances are he could be a little hellion as a child at times
