It is FRIDAY! *Dance* Well, might be Saturday already for some of you (:

So very happy … ugh. This has been a long (and yet fast) week… if that makes any sense.  I think a lot of it had to do with the whole sleeping issue in the beginning, but thankfully I seem to be back to ‘normal’ (as normal as my schedule can get).

Thursdays have become my favorite “TV Night”.

It starts off with Vampire Diaries and what an episode last night. I really love how they are filming Elena’s transformation, as if it’s ‘you’ the viewer are going through it too. As always, loving the tension between the brothers as Elena depends more and more on Damon so she doesn’t hurt Stefan (which does only end up hurting Stefan).  While the tension was always there in all the seasons, it’s definitely heightened now as Stefan seems to have grown a major backbone and is so not putting up with Damon’s blatant attempts to get Elena (I will always want Damon with Elena, but I also love her with Stefan so I am always torn on this HAHAH).

Last night’s episode was pretty emotional.  Over the last few seasons they have really lost a lot of ‘close’ family and friends and Stefan is right… they never really gave themselves time to grieve … so that ceremony he hosts (and that Damon walks out of) was emotional…but then they flash to where Damon is and he’s sitting at Alaric’s gravesite and he’s pouring his heart out to his old friend … UGH. Now THAT is what got me. We all grieve differently, something that not everyone understands. Plus, it was awesome actually seeing Alaric again … even if he is dead ): I miss him! I want them to somehow bring him back hahaha

The new “hunter” in town is really spicing things up! I swear, that is the one show that has me sitting on the edge of my chair (or bed) and biting my nails through the whole episode … not too many shows can do that.

THEN Beauty and the Beast comes on after that and it’s growing on me even more. I really love Kreuk, she is so damn kick ass! Though she got quite roughed up last night… she still kicks butt. And the beast was looking a bit more beastly in last night’s episode, so I think as they grow more accustomed to their roles things will get even better.

It was also a good episode as far as the ‘case’, interactions (JT cracks me up so much with his witty one-liners), and their growing bond. While she is a cop and it is ‘kind of’ a crime-fighting show, it’s really more about her and him (duh), and their history, present and future. So again, was on twitter while watching the show and following people’s comments along with the show and I find it amusing how people are hating on the crime solving aspect of it all … Folks, this isn’t NCIS or CSI … lol It’s about their relationship and how it develops and their connection to these men that killed her mom and changed him into what he is … that’s who they’re really fighting, their real enemies.

It will be interesting to see where the show goes - they’re already getting close and it’s just the beginning. I thought there would be a little more fight in him to stay away and in her to push back in (: Maybe there will be.

THEN, it is Elementary which I think is possibly my favorite NEW television series because I loved the very first episode, right off the bat and its only getting better and better.  Last night’s episode was seriously the best … I love his way of ‘working’ and how he both seemingly talks down to Watson but actually is paying her a compliment and how she realizes this and manages to bring out a softer side in him. I do love his absolute honest bluntness … and yeah he’s doing it to solve a case and bring out people’s reactions with shock value, but still… it’s awesome. Though, this kid in last night’s episode really threw him for a loop … it was excellent.  I really enjoyed it (and he has some of the best lines in TV … I swear).

Anyway … enough TV-Squeeing. Next week is Chicago and I am both excited and scared; don’t ask me why scared … just am (:  I think it really just has to do with me rarely traveling and especially without my family (when I do travel at least one family member is almost always with me, so it’s odd I guess). Yeah, I am not good with stepping out of my comfort zone, can’t you tell (:  But I am very excited as well to see a new city, experience the culture/ambiance of the city and hopefully meeting up with my friend nineteen68!

I really want to limit what I lug along with me. I wish I had a smaller (and excellent) camera to carry with me. While I love my Nikon, it’s huge and heavy. I really want a small point and shoot that takes photos like my NIKON but to this day I have yet to find one (I’ve read some that claim they do, but they lie). I actually bought a small point and shoot Nikon once and it was horrible … never again.    I really wish I had a friend in the photography business (or who knew a lot about all types of cameras) that could give me some ideas.  Oh well.

So yeah, I gotta remember to bring the camera/charger, my iPad/charger and I am so not packing a suitcase so I have to find a decent sized carry on (I’m not into the whole packing for 10 days for a 2 day trip…if it were up to me I’d wear the same thing both days :D); yeah I fail at style … BIG time.  So, having that to look forward to is a highlight, even if a certain someone is annoying (:

Anyway … I have  ‘professional’ question. Is anyone here on LinkedIn. I often get invitations from professors/students, but I didn’t really give it too much thought until two days ago, the President of our Board of Trustees sent me one and now I am sitting here wondering if it’s a good idea to set one up at some point. Thing is, how does it even all work?  I am not exactly looking for a job right now, but I hear/read that it’s good to have to build connections for the future. Anyone use it and highly recommend it (or highly disapprove of it)?  Very curious!

Anyway … I am going to go get some work done. So glad today is my 2pm today. It’s pouring out and I can’t wait to get home, slip into some comfy sweats and watch TV or read a book *grin* Happy Friday, all!
