Calculus & I = Water & Oil

After explaining to B that I didn’t understand calculus at all:

B:  wtf?!?   i gave a numerical example!!!   ^ is an exponent symbol since i don't know if there's a command to do it otherwise...so i gave you the formula of cx^b (c is just a coefficient or constant in front of the variable x, i.e. 2x...c would be 2 in this case)  so in the example x^4 we have c =1 (we don't write it) and b=4  the derivative of cx^b = b*cx^(b-1)  so we multiply c by b and the new exponent becomes the previous exponent minus 1....so for x^4 the derivative would be 4*1x^(4-1) = 4x^3    EASY!!!!

Me: I lost you after the 4th “!”

random:, convo:, feeling: amused
