In which Teddy joins the medication parade

Pep is better than he has been, though he still has odd breath sounds in the morning and sometimes when he is plotting world domination. We didn't know whether his vet wanted him to continue antibiotics, so he got a recheck visit yesterday. Yes, he should continue to be sure whatever it is goes away and stays away.

chiefoperator thought Teddy was making odd breath sounds now, so he went along for Pep's visit. First, Teddy is officially enormous. And if you happen to see his back end, there is no doubt he is an intact male. No surprises for me. His breath sounds are harsher than normal on stethoscope exam, so he gets to join the med parade twice a day to try to "get ahead of possible pneumonia." Teddy thought the exam room was fun to explore, but there really should be more treats. He clearly is not feeling poorly at all. I wouldn't have noticed anything, so it's a good thing I'm not the only caretaker.

Neither pig should go to Pignic next week. We don't want to share, and the vet thinks that even if we kept them in their own separated pens, it might stress their immune systems unnecessarily. Guess I'll have to bring them in some more stuff from the yard instead, at least for as long as that is available. The baby cukes are done, the clover is thin, some of the other plants are starting to die back. If we don't get a freeze for a couple of weeks, there should be at least one more round of baby peppers.
