Got a lovely organic veg box this week, and tonight I made broad bean and courgette soup which was yummy and comes highly recommended.
The window cleaner came today, and in a heroic effort above and beyond the call of duty, cleaned not only the windows but the frames, all utterly filthy thanks to next door's building work (and because *ahem* it's been a while). He got a couple of extra quid.
Started reading 'Floating Worlds' by Cecelia Holland. It's... interesting. She's ostensibly a writer of historical fiction and this is her only SF book, but it's made it on to the SF Masterworks list, so we'll see.
