Spent 45 minutes this evening out in my garden cutting back what will forever in my mind be 'the bloody Russian vine'. It came with the house and grows over the back garden wall. It has pretty white flowers, but isn't nicknamed 'mile a minute' for no reason.
This Guardian article explains why. I've been putting off cutting it back due to laziness, but it was starting to attack innocent passers-by and so it had to be restrained. I can't even pull it out because its origin is somewhere deep between the shed and the wall that I can't reach. If I get arrested because I've been googling suppliers of Agent Orange, you now know why.
If you're an SF fan (and who isn't?) and an ebook reader (as in, a reader of ebooks), the latest
Humble Book Bundle may well be of interest to you. I think Humble Bundles are a brilliant idea: I've bought a couple of their book bundles myself, and I think if I was a gamer it would be the only place to buy from.
