Well. Upon reading the opening sentence of
Ian McKellen's latest Hobbit blog, my heart skipped a beat and I was ready to scream 'Noooooo!' in true Anakin fashion. All is well, however.
The flooring is down in the kitchen, so everything is now complete save for blinds which we'll get around to in due course. Glad it's over - it's worth it though, the whole place is much improved and better-organised. I don't think I'll be able to persuade Mum to give the bathroom a makeover anytime soon though.
What else? I'm doing a bit of Waiting for Godot for my class tonight, focusing on Estragon's boots and Vladimir's hat. We were instructed to look at any part of any play save dialogue for today. I'm really enjoying this class, although at the moment I'm feeling like my brain has a lot of other things vying (vieing?) for its attention and I'd much rather just sit and zone out with my knitting.
Potatoes are doing really well and the strawberries seem to be enjoying the sunshine-and-showers weather we've been having for the past couple of days.
