Watched Troy last night, a film I have managed not to see up until now. It was, as expected, tremendously silly, but saved by the presence of Sean Bean (who managed to make it to the end alive, woo), Peter O'Toole, and a wonderfully over-the-top Brian Cox as Agamemnon. Orlando was basically Legolas - again - complete with deadpan acting and archery skillz. Enjoyable tosh. I like it that IMDb has, under 'Writing Credits' - Homer first, and then the screenplay writer. I wonder what Homer would make of it... I think he'd like Eddie Izzard's version better.

And I have another interview, this time for a post at Liverpool Uni. It's a 2-stage interview, being a reasonably senior post, the first one being on 7th November. It begins again!
