So yea, college.
I'm done moving in, just need to get adjusted to life here. Participating in welcome week stuff often, trying to meet people and such, but it's not the picnic I thought it would be. I guess it's just that this is similar to my experience in Silver Bay, and in comparison, this is not as good or as fun or anything. I don't know what it is about Silver Bay that made it such a tight knit place of friendly faces. Maybe it's because only a certain type of person would choose to work there, so we all have that in common, or that it's mostly isolated so contacting people back home is difficult, but whatever it is, UMBC isn't. My room mate's fine, in fact a little like Andy, but not nearly as interesting as my room mate up at Lake George. We haven't started classes yet, so maybe once those begin, I'll meet some people in my classes, and studying will take up some time, but I hope to become adjusted soon; it's not home, and it's not Silver Bay, which became a second home, so I don't know if I have room for a third home. I really miss everything about home, and everything about Silver Bay just as much. I can't wait for the first break, and the summer, when I'll be going back up north. Maybe this is just because I'm a new student, or something, but hopefully it'll pass soon.
