Another great sleep

And so a new weekend has begun and all I can say is, hooray!!! I had the most excellent time sleeping in this morning. All cozied up in the duvet, kitty sleeping by my side. Pure heaven! I swear sometimes the promise of being able to hop back into bed at the end of the day is reason enough to get up in the morning.
I must say that it was quite the nice week I suppose overall. Our department head gave a talk on Galileo and the path of quickest descent for our student group's lecture series. I must say that I felt really dirty afterwards from being at a talk with heavy physics content and attended by physics profs.  But it was a very interesting talk. And the week also brought confirmations of two other profs to give talks in February and March for us. So...hooray!
Yesterday I gave up my take my car and sleep in morning of the week by heading out to my old high school. I traditionally make a visit every year on my former French teacher's birthday. It was a short but nice visit. He hasn't initiated any more coups since the last time I visited, I was sure to ask. Then afterwards I went and visited a few other former teachers, including my old math teacher who inspired me to do math in university. He was telling me all about the new fangled gadgets he's gotten for his classroom since I'd left. He also mentioned that there's hope that they'll have over a dozen IB diploma students next year which is a huge leap from the usual 2-4. I'm very happy for the school.
Last night I finally finished knitting this black hat that I promised a band member back in September. Well, nearly finished, I just have to sew up the seams. Then on to hat #2 which I ose someone. My goal is to be done my projects that I owe other people by the end of reading week. Well, actually preferably before reading week though, so that I can have time to work on my sweater which I'll only do when I have large chunks of time that I can devote to knitting. Wish me luck!
Have a great weekend all.
